So… this post has been a LONG time coming. The below shoot was in the pipelines for months and months. And once it was done, and the photos were edited, I still couldnt post about it, as it was a SECRET 
But now the secret has been revealed and Jo has kindly allowed me to show some of the photos here on my blog 
So the reason behind the below photos, Jo wanted to give something special to her husband as a gift, and thought some super sexylicious photos would be perfect. But it all had to be done secretly, as it was going to be a surprise!! One the photos were edited, I worked on an album layout, and we got it ordered. It arrived looking amazing!!! But after months of planning and work, Jo couldnt just plonk the album in his hands. So she planned another secret… a special weekend away. Her poor husband didnt know anything as he got dragged to the car (his suitcase secretly packed in the car).
Nico and I got baby sitting duty for that special weekend…. see, I always go the extra mile for clients haha…. of course it helps when the client is my cousin!
So all in all the photos and the album were a big success, the lovely couple got an awesome weekend away, and Nico and I got to spend some time with three crazy but fun kids :D

On Saturday I met three gorgeous woman!! They were having a girls day out, and decided some photos would be a good addition to the day! They may have changed their minds after meeting the craziness that is me and Nico lol, but we did a quick whirlwind shoot and everyone had a good laugh, so maybe not We had to be quick to get some light but I think we got some beautiful shots of the gals, and the awesome friendship they share (Im jealous!!) in the time we had Here are some of my favs:

So this afternoon I photographed 4 families, with 18 kids (varying ages from toddlers to young adults), in 3 hours. I was exhausted hehe, but had heaps of fun, and met heaps of wonderful people. My poor shoes and pants may never recover from the mud though lol. Thanks Paterson Street Playcentre, you guys rock!!

Chelle
I ran a contest on my facebook fan page a few weeks back, and the prize was a free mini session (20mins long), with 10-20 edited photos to choose from, and a free 5×7 print! To enter, you had to state why you were FABULOUS
Chelle entered with this:
“I am fabulous because I have managed to sort out my life again after a huge upheaval due to my health, friends and accomadation issues. I’ve lived to tell the story and help others with similar health issues.”
I love people that weather a storm, then come out the other side to help others. There really is no other word for her than FABULOUS.
Now the session was for 1 or 2 people, so Chelle opted to bring her friend Sarah along. We took a wander round the Gardens, and the girls posed oh so fabulously for me. I think we went over the 20 min mark lol, but we were having fun, so there was no reason to stop I ended up editing over 30 photos also, because they both did such a wonderful job posing, made it very hard for me to pick out the best photos, thats for sure!!
Chelle, Sarah, you guys are both so beautiful, and you looked so stunning in the shots. Keep being fabulous

Ive been a busy girl these last few weeks and keep forgetting to pop on and post some photos So this is a bit of a catch up blog.

Okay, to start off, these are all just some SNEAK previews of recent sessions. I’ll put a full post on for each once I have finished editing them!
Firstly, some photos from an AWESOME session I had this morning. I feel in love with this gorgeous bub as soon as I saw him… oh I KNEW he was gonna look amazing in his photos, and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be posting some more of him and his equally amazing looking parents and brother as soon as I can. Guys… you seriously rocked these photos, loved loved loved the session Thanks for having a bit of an adventure with me
Argh SOOOOOO CUTE.
Anyhoo, on to the next sneaky preview. Ladies and Gentlemen…. meet Chris. He made me laugh. He let me try new things. He scared the locals. GREAT session, and can’t wait to show you more
And last but not least, Chelle! Chelle was the winner of my last Facebook Photo Giveaway. We had some crazy fun zipping around the Rose Gardens, trying to get as many shots in as I could, since it was only a mini session. I would have finished her editing by now, but I can’t stop at the 10-20 she was supposed to have for the competition lol. Anyhoo, here is a preview photo, more to come:

Yesterday afternoon was a great day. I met up with Lynn and her awesome family for another photo shoot. We went to the Rose Gardens, only to find them clanging the gates shut, thanks to the Summer Festival. So we did some walking and found some other spots for photos
Now, I LOVE this family, seriously. They are all so gorgeous, inside and out. Not only that, but they make me laugh, out loud, ALOT.

So I got a new camera the other day… it is soooooooooooo sexylicious. However the manual is thicker than a phonebook… almost
Anyway, today I got to stretch the cameras legs Nico and I headed to the Lake to do Pip and Philips engagement shoot. I will have to do a full post when Im done with them, but I wanted to pop a few on here as a preview for them! So enjoy guys, can’t wait to edit the rest!!!

Well, 2009 was an AMAZING year for me. Absolutely amazing. Where do I start.
I have been doing photography for a while now, but 2009….. 2009 was the year I can look back on and say its when I REALLY became a photographer. I fell, I got back up again, I wanted to give up 2000 times, I kicked myself each time, I cried, I laughed, I fell down exhausted, I tried, I created, I learned, I explored, I invented, and I had FUN.
I look back at the weddings I did at the start of the year, they seem like a life time ago. It was my first season of weddings. And MAN was I scared/nervous/terrified. But I met some beautifully awesome brides and grooms, that helped me grow and shape my style, that trusted me enough to capture their day, that gave me confidence when I had none. And I thank them all, from the bottom of my stubby toes, to the tip of my squishy brain And then there were all the families that came to me for portrait sessions. MAN did I meet some interesting people last year. You were all wonderful, seriously. I look back over the photos from the year, and I get all emotional… simply because of the connection I feel with all of you. 80% of my clients added me as a friend on facebook… 80%. Thats incredible. I love watching how their lives develop, how relationships bloom, how the children grow
I’m smack dab in the middle of my second season of weddings… Im still scared/nervous/terrified. But I think thats a good thing. It pushes me to be better, to want more for you guys. It makes me work harder on the day of your wedding, or on your portrait session, to get the bests shots I possibly can. I still have a LONG way to go to get to where I want to be with photography, so much to learn and try. But Im doing it. And maybe this year I will only want to give up 1000 times

These are not all the best photos technically, but they are the ones that either make me very proud, or make me smile. So here they are….
