He was calm, he was curious and …. he was a complete posing machine ;)

Elijah is just the cutest 3 month old EVVVVVER, seriously…. them baby rolls were just so so so gorgeous. Oh my oh my oh my, and I got a cuddle, woohoo :D Even Nico got to hold him, as he slept away.

Elijah’s older brother was also super awesome! Very open and creative, and very imaginative, it was such a pleasure to talk with him!! And he gave the BEST facials hehehe!!

This family was so wonderful, and I can say truthfully that these have been my favourite portrait photos to work on so far in my photography career. They were so open and genuine,…. and they had some fab ideas ;) Thanks for asking me to capture your family, it was rockin ;)

So check out some of my favourites from the shoot, and enjoy :D

    Chelle :D

I ran a contest on my facebook fan page a few weeks back, and the prize was a free mini session (20mins long), with 10-20 edited photos to choose from, and a free 5×7 print! To enter, you had to state why you were FABULOUS :)

    Chelle entered with this:

“I am fabulous because I have managed to sort out my life again after a huge upheaval due to my health, friends and accomadation issues. I’ve lived to tell the story and help others with similar health issues.”

I love people that weather a storm, then come out the other side to help others. There really is no other word for her than FABULOUS.

Now the session was for 1 or 2 people, so Chelle opted to bring her friend Sarah along. We took a wander round the Gardens, and the girls posed oh so fabulously for me. I think we went over the 20 min mark lol, but we were having fun, so there was no reason to stop ;) I ended up editing over 30 photos also, because they both did such a wonderful job posing, made it very hard for me to pick out the best photos, thats for sure!!

Chelle, Sarah, you guys are both so beautiful, and you looked so stunning in the shots. Keep being fabulous ;)

So enough of me talking, here are a couple of my favourite shots from our session.:

    Wedding: Linzi and Roger

    Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Family. That was the important thing on Linzi and Rogers wedding day. Family… such a large and wonderful family. All of their children and grandchildren were just so happy for them both, you could see it in their eyes, the way they laughed and smiled, the amazing speeches they gave. Nico and I both felt so honoured to be there photographing their day. We were challenged by heat and super bright sun, but we had an awesome time :D Oh, and the meal was YUMMO, thanks so much for inviting us to sit down and eat guys :D Here are a few photos from the day, enjoy:

    Portrait Session Catch Up

    Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Ive been a busy girl these last few weeks and keep forgetting to pop on and post some photos :D So this is a bit of a catch up blog.

Oh just a quick FYI, if you pop over to my facebook Fan page, you can enter to win a free portrait session. All the details are there, so check it out :D CLICK ME

Okay, to start off, these are all just some SNEAK previews of recent sessions. I’ll put a full post on for each once I have finished editing them!

Firstly, some photos from an AWESOME session I had this morning. I feel in love with this gorgeous bub as soon as I saw him… oh I KNEW he was gonna look amazing in his photos, and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be posting some more of him and his equally amazing looking parents and brother as soon as I can. Guys… you seriously rocked these photos, loved loved loved the session :D Thanks for having a bit of an adventure with me ;)

    Argh SOOOOOO CUTE.

Anyhoo, on to the next sneaky preview. Ladies and Gentlemen…. meet Chris. He made me laugh. He let me try new things. He scared the locals. GREAT session, and can’t wait to show you more :D

And last but not least, Chelle! Chelle was the winner of my last Facebook Photo Giveaway. We had some crazy fun zipping around the Rose Gardens, trying to get as many shots in as I could, since it was only a mini session. I would have finished her editing by now, but I can’t stop at the 10-20 she was supposed to have for the competition lol. Anyhoo, here is a preview photo, more to come:

Right, now I better get back to work, I have wedding photos to finish, wooooohooooo :D Man I love my job!!

    Personal: We are Fammmmmily!!!

    Thursday, March 11th, 2010

A few weeks back my family got together for dinner. My brother was paying (a christmas gift), and we went to Memory Lane. I havent been there since…. my early teens. We grew up in Rotorua, and occasionally we would take a trip to Hamilton (which wasn’t too appealing since I always got majorly carsick). We would go to the Lake, JUST to slide down the giant slide, which used to be closer to the road. We would then go to a place where you could race toy cars around tracks (this is no longer in Hamilton, and I can’t remember where it was, since I was a kid, but it was sooooo cool, even if I did always get my ass whooped), and THEN, we would head off to The Old Flame, now known as Memory Lane. Those trips to Hamilton are burned into my memory, great memories!

So it was just so perfect that we ended up back at Memory Lane all these years later. We have been living in Hamilton for about 11-12 years now and have NEVER gone there for dinner. Of course this time was a little different, it wasnt just two parents and 3 bickering children. It was 2 parents, a grandparent, 3 bickering siblings, one spouse, one partner, and the most gorgeous baby girl EVER… our family is slowly growing lol. It was a quick dinner, in/out/done. But…. it was another awesome memory to add to the rest! My family are nuts. We are all crazy, stubborn, and grumpy… but I love them, and I love spending time with them :)

Before we left for dinner, I took this photo. I forgot to bring my tripod, so… I actually stood there and took this photo. And then…. spent over an hour photoshopping myself into it, taking out power lines, fixing peoples hair, etc etc hahaha. This is the ONLY photo of all of us, and I love it, even if it’s not perfect. I may even hang it on my wall…. if I can stand looking at my crazy, stubborn, grumpy family everyday haha…. I think I’ll manage ;)

    Wedding: Megan and James

    Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Being proposed to under the Eiffel Tower, …. it’s like a scene from a movie. But for Megan it was a reality… how incredibly amazing is that ;) What I love is that they carried the Eiffel Tower theme through to their wedding day, which was an awesome idea :

Megan and James are just such a fantastic couple, we had alot of fun doing bridal party shots (if they have gotten over my mentalness haha). And I loved doing all the extra family shots during the reception, a fun family, and a lot of laughs!! Here are some of my favourite shots from the day, enjoy:

…..seriously the best celebrant ever, never laughed so much at a ceremony.

    Hahahahaha:

Thanks guys, for letting us photograph your awesome day :D Can’t wait to show you the rest!!
