A Preview of things to come

About Jennifer Johnston-Clark: Photography
I have been doing photography for a while now, and I cannot believe how lucky I am to be living my dream. I wake up every morning and pinch myself.
I have the most fantastic, unique, and interesting clients. Every job I get is a new adventure, and its incredible. My life is an absolute adventure and I
wouldn't have it any other way.
I love shooting the variety of life. Any culture, any religion, any sexuality. Everybody has a story to share with the world, ... and my camera!

So I have been wanting to try this for a while, but… didn’t think I’d find anyone to give it ago. HA, I was wrong. So I got two volunteers, told them my makeup ideas, watched as they slapped it on… without any weird looks even, and then started shooting. I have to say, they turned out… different than I expected haha, but I’m happy with them. It’s always great to try new things. The fact is, I am still very much learning when it comes to lighting in a ’studio’ setting (aka my lounge), so I just did what comes naturally to me, went crazy and creative lol. Anyway, here are a few of my favourite shots, and thanks again to my wonderful volunteers, gave me a good laugh

THANKS GALS
Rockin It:

Oh and I have to add this one, Colleens daughter was feeling left out, and then got into the eyeshadow hahaha, cuteness:

If you would be interested in volunteering for a shoot like this, PLEASE contact me. I love doing something different, something fun and creative just for the hell of it

This is a quick preview entry, to show you what I got up to today in my little makeshift home studio. An explanation and more photos to come, so keep a look out in the next couple of days!

Colleen volunteered to step in front of my camera for some photos last weekend. We didn’t know where we were going, or what kind of photos I was doing, but we thought we would have some fun. We ended up going to three different places in the space of an hour. Fighting wind and rain, we totally rocked the shoot, mostly cause Colleen is gorgeous, and laughed at the cold! She whipped her jacket off whenever it was time to pose, even down by the lake where the wind was ferocious, and the rain was dripping down! But she had heaps of fun, and so did I. I want to do more shoots like this, so if you don’t think you like yourself in photos, or wouldn’t normally do something like this…. DO IT. Dress up, get your hair and makeup done, and let me make you feel glamorous! That’s the part of the job I love the most, making people feel good about themselves
SO please, contact me to discuss options okay, Im not scary, and I don’t bite. Sometimes I may nibble… but we won’t get into that right now
So here is the FABULOUS Colleen, oh and keep an eye out on the blog, because I will be doing some creative beauty shots of her soon too:

Hey All.
Just a quick note to say my pricing changes have finally gone live. Its been two years, and it has taken me this long to figure out what my work is truly worth, lol. I always dreamed of being a unique force in the photography industry, and so here I am. INEXPENSIVE photography, but still fabulous quality, and from someone whom you can all tell LOVES her work. BEcause I do. I do love it. And I always wanted to stay affordable so that everyone could have fabulous photos on their walls, not just the wealthy
So check out my new super sexy wedding price!!!! It’s simple, affordable, and Im pretty sure will make wedding photography more likely for those that previously thought they couldn’t afford it.
The other pricing change is in prints. For weddings I no longer do prints (unless you for some reason want them from me) but instead give the images on a disc, which is included in the price. For portraits and parties however, prints are still the way to get your images. I have slightly raised my prices, as I was very much under valueing my work with the previous prices. They are still very affordable, and lower than most, but now I will no longer be doing a weeks worth of work for $30 or so lol. Now I might get at least…. $50 hahaha. But as I said, I LOVE my work, my husband loves that I love my work, and we have decided to stay inexpensive in my work…. !!
Okay, thats all for now. Hope everyones having a great week, and finding these changes goooood

So, my first set of guinea pigs… Arthur and Judith volunteered to jump in front of my lens on the weekend, so I could try some new ideas and such. And man, they set my lens on fire! I love when people can forget for a moment that a camera is shoved in their face, and carry on with their intimacy, seriously LOVE it. I’m not big on posing people to tell you the truth. I like finding the great photos in the natural moments. So when people can carry on with their kissing, hugging, and laughing …. HALLELUJAH lol.
So thankyou guys, you really did rock the shoot, even though I had no idea what I wanted from it, you gave it to me anyway! I still have a few photos left to edit, but Ive got enough to share, so here we go:

Hehehe:

And last but not least:

Thanks again guys
And CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement
Marriage rocks!

So someone has been busy making jewellery… no, not me! My cousin, Jo. She has been doing it for a few years now, but just recently has decided to get more serious about, and has opened her own online store, woohoo
Now I thought I might share the link to her site, because I think her work is pretty funky and unique. And if you are looking for jewellery for your bridesmaids…. I would check her out!! Theres necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, etc etc.
I had a lot of fun photographing all of her jewellery, and will be doing it on an ongoing basis! I hope her she does well, she works hard, and puts alot of passion into it!!
Here’s a few of my favorite pieces, out of the ones I have edited so far:

And the link to the store: Silver Shadow
Enjoy!

We laughed. Then we laughed some more. Then we finished by laughing. I think we were mostly laughing at my craziness, and posing ideas, but still, we laughed! I met Michelle and Michael for the first time last weekend. Their wedding is in October, and I am SO excited to shoot it. They are such a rocking couple! Argh, I love it when people make it so easy to get fabulous photos, thanks guys!
