I have been doing photography for a while now, and I cannot believe how lucky I am to be living my dream. I wake up every morning and pinch myself.
I have the most fantastic, unique, and interesting clients. Every job I get is a new adventure, and its incredible. My life is an absolute adventure and I
wouldn't have it any other way.
I love shooting the variety of life. Any culture, any religion, any sexuality. Everybody has a story to share with the world, ... and my camera!
3 months to go… just THREEEEE MONTHS. Im so excited for Liz and Nat. And Im eagerly waiting to be an Aunty:)
Thought Id post a few more photos up. I ended up not staying in Auckland, so we only did some very quick photos before we headed out for her 30th Bday dinner 
Ill be doing some proper baby bump shots in July and then September, can’t wait!!!

And on to other news. I am off to Auckland this weekend for my sisters 30th Birthday, woohoo!! I plan on staying up there for about a week at this stage. Hoping to do some maternity photos if we get the time So keep an eye on the blog… Im taking my computer with me hahaha.

I received an email a little while ago, from someone interested in photography, but she wasn’t too sure. So she is speaking to a few photographers to find out. Enter ME I said, “Sure come on over and chat…. I have NO idea what I can teach you because Im self taught and have no idea what Im doing lol, but come on over”. Hey, Im hard on myself…people may think its a bad thing, but it makes me push myself harder, and thats ALWAYS a good thing. SO anyway, yesterday I met the lovely Ella. I bleated on about the cameras I wanted, how expensive everything is, how much I love photography… completely boring her to death Im sure haha.
Luckily we had a back up plan, I had told her to organise some people to photograph so that we could take some photos together, and she could see what a shoot is like. So she dragged her very supportive and funny family along. The sun was GLARING down on us, so we didn’t start out to well, but I had a lot of fun, and I think by the end of it, even her family were enjoying themselves. Family photo shoots are a unsuspecting way for a family to have a great bonding time together. Strange, but true. SO as I said, we started with Glaring sun.. and moved swiftly to no sun at all and impending darkness, but hey, ya gotta work with what ya got!
Ella is not so into portraits/weddings etc. You can expect to see her images in the National Geographic one day. Travelling the world and photographing life… what an amazing dream she has. And she so has the drive and personality for it, and as I said her family are very supportive. So I know if she decides to do photography, she’ll be successful in no time!
So…. just to be completely evil, here is Ella :

And heres one of her Mum and Dad, who both had me cracking up! Her mum and dad are pretty knowledgeable in underwater photography, so it runs in the family. Underwater photography… can I say SO JEALOUS again??
Anyhoo, thanks guys, Nico and I had a great time, I bet Ella took alot of beautiful images!! I hope you carry on with photography, you have passion oozeing out of your pores lol!!

Well if you know me, you will know what kind of photographer I am. The photoshopping kind haha. This is not a bad thing. I love the fact that I am not just a photographer, I am also an artist… I draw, paint, do crafts etc etc, and I have applied that to my photography as well. I COULD go out and take photos, wack them on a disc, and give them straight to the client…. BUT… I would rather look at every single one, and bring out the magic in EVERY SINGLE ONE. Every photo a client receives from me has been looked at and touched up. This could be anything from slight lighting adjustment or sharpening, through to a complete work of photographic art. I let the photo tell me what to do (oooo spooooooky possums lol).
I love it. I love working on the photos just as equally as I love taking them in the first place. My husband calls me an Artographer…. artist and photographer combined. I just like to put a bit of my soul in the photographs I give out, sounds mushy… but hey… Im a mushy kinda gal
So heres a couple of before and afters. The first is subtle, the second is just CRAZYness (me playing around), and the third is my favourite photo Ive taken, thought you might like to see where it began

Oh and I forgot to say YAY my tooth was finally pulled out!! I am now recovering with a big giant hole in my mouth haha, yay the joy. And Im on my fourth round of antibiotics for it too… lol thats a little crazy!!

Hmmm… its just one of those days. Nothing seems to be able to stimulate my brain lol.
I muck around when Im bored.
Today my cousin Joseph was my victim. These arent fabulous photos of him, but… I wanted to play on Photoshop, so I just grabbed some photos Ive never edited. Besides, even though they arent the best photos, he still looks cute and handsome, like always
If you get bored today…. be creative… you never know what will come of it!

I thought it was about time we moved away from scary bump and tooth things (although just to update the bump has slightly gone down… Im hoping for it to be completely down by the time I go to the dentist or else they will send me to a dental surgeon which I can’t afford…. so…. PLEASE GO DOWN BUMP), so I thought Id post some photos I took a while ago at my husbands parents house, a farewell dinner for his brothers, who are now in Aussie. Ive finally had some time to work on the photos, lol, go me! So heres a few I like

Oooo also my sister’s 30th birthday in a couple of weeks… and Ill be doing an updated maternity shoot for her… yay my camera will be kept busy:)

Well… woke up this morning with a VERY puffy face, and inside my mouth is completely swollen. I had instructions from the dentist to go straight to the hospital to go on IV Antibiotics if this happened…. so off we went. 9am till 1.20pm we waited…. and waited… other paitents came and went. But we waited. My tooshy got sore. Hahahaha. They offered us sandwhiches Anyway, long story short, saw a doctor finally, who didnt seem to really know what to do, so she went and made some calls. Came back and said keep taking what your taking, and gave me a prescription for even MORE drugs lol. I am my own pharmacy. So Im taking two antibiotics, one anti inflammotory, and 2 pain killers. I told her what stronger pain relief the dentist had given me and she laughed…. said that was basically herbal medicine ROFL… we sure got charged alot for it. Anyway, Im on much stronger stuff now, yay… I may be able to sleep through the night for the first time in a week. Cross your fingers.
Anyway,…. Im really hoping this goes down, and the tooth can get pulled with no complications… again cross your fingers lol. Busy busy month coming up, lots of portrait shoots and family events… so Im hoping

Thought Id put a quick update on here for anyone reading
Well, they couldnt pull the tooth out, not with the amount of swelling. She even got the big honcho dentist in to have a look. They are all so lovely down there, I just have to say!
So Ive been put on stronger antibiotics, some anti inflammotories, and much stronger pain relief (thank goodness). I also have a warning… if the swelling gets even the tiniest bit bigger I am to rush to the hospital. Hahaha all this for one tooth… stupid mouth.
The thing that scares me is that they are worried they wont be able to pull the tooth next week either and I will have to go to a dental surgeon… I CANNOT afford that, so Im hoping they can do it!!! Cross your fingers for me!
So far, with just Xray and Prescriptions, we have payed $150. The dental work alone is going to be $865. Imagine wacking on a few thousand for a surgeon too lol.
Sigh…. its a good thing I love life so much and have such wonderfully supportive friends and family (and my ever amazing husband) to get me through crappy depressing times like this huh!
Well Im gonna enjoy my nice weekend at home with my stronger pain relief haha!
Oh and… we cant have a blog post with no picture… hmmm let me see what I can find…..
