I have been doing photography for a while now, and I cannot believe how lucky I am to be living my dream. I wake up every morning and pinch myself.
I have the most fantastic, unique, and interesting clients. Every job I get is a new adventure, and its incredible. My life is an absolute adventure and I
wouldn't have it any other way.
I love shooting the variety of life. Any culture, any religion, any sexuality. Everybody has a story to share with the world, ... and my camera!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing three funny young boys!! I should have been trying to make them smile and laugh for the photos, but I could’nt as I was laughing too often at what they were saying, and at their expressions! I actually photographed them a few weeks back, at a family session at the Gardens with some of my favourite clients, Linda, Shaun, and Kayleigh, and of course the boys awesome parents!! Because there were so many people to photograph, we didn’t manage to get a photo of each of the boys similar enough, so I told Julee (their mum) to come over to my house and Id some Studio type shots instead. It is a MISSION to photograph children (as many people would know) but I think I got a nice range of facial expressions lol, including the essential nose picks. Hahaha, what an awesome time I had, and I’m absolutely loving working on these photos. Julee, your sons are a handful, but a VERY wonderfully creative and fun handful, what a great mum you are!!

Just wanted to pop on and post a photo from todays shoot, cause…. its cool haha!! We braved the rain, and all got quite wet… but it was fun regardless lol!!

Nico and I did something pretty cool today. Went and watch Josephs hockey game (Joseph my young cousin for those people who dont reguarly read the blog). It was quick, but super fun to be there to support him!!!
So yep, that was a cool morning!!! Then in the afternoon, me, Nico, and our friend Sarah delivered flyers to letterboxes in various places around Hamilton! We skipped all the ‘No Circulars’ boxes, but… not the “No Junk Mail”… cause really, Im not junk And it has an awesome deal on the flyer!!! So HOPEFULLY, we get a few emails or calls from those, and if not, it was a fun walk! Thanks soooo much Sarah
This evening we hung out at Luke and Sarahs! It was nice to get away from the computer screen for a while, and we had ALOT of laughs over there, so yay!
Its been a great day! Tomorrow I have a photo shoot for some young guys…. this will be interesting

I mentioned in an earlier post that Nico and I babysat last weekend. My cousin and her hubby need some alone time, so I told them we were taking the kids for the weekend. For some reason everyone thought we were crazy taking three kids 5 and under for the weekend. We aren’t crazy, we just don’t know any better LOL.
It wasn’t easy, I won’t lie. But Nico is amazing, and I’m a trooper, haha, so we worked it out. They kids had a great time, no home sickness even!! We did deliver the kids back with some bumps and bruises though LOL, but they are used to it, they got some of a clutz gene (from your mouth Jo, from your mouth lol).
Anyway, I promised photos, so here they are!!!
Firstly we took them out to the farm (my parents land consisting of four paddocks, 5 cows, and one house in progress):
Campbell did not seem at all fazed of the cows… either that or he was sick of me saying “Stay there Campbell” trying to get a shot lol.
Joseph spent his time hunting rabbits with my dad (by hunting I mean walking round the paddock hoping to see one) and posing for the camera:
Meanwhile Nico was leading Anya round the paddocks, as she held on to him for dear life. She was having ALOT of fun, but the grass was long, so she didn’t let go:
After the farm, we thought we head back to mum and dads house. They love Jo’s kids, but rarely get to see them, so they had a great time! Also I had some alterior motives… I was all out of tomato sauce, and I knew mum would have cans to share lol! Heres some of the photos:
Ha, I dont think Nico will be wanting to babysit again anytime soon LOL.

Well… we may do that again one day… ONE DAY… but it will have to involve copious amounts of chocolate and bribery lol.

I realised something today… I can do anything! It is so easy to be discouraged and get depressed, and so hard to push yourself and tell yourself everything is okay…. well… so people think! Its actually the other way around. Being happy is EASY. Being depressed is HARD. Doing something to improve your life is EASY. Doing nothing is HARD. Smiling is EASY. Crying is HARD.
Today I can do anything. I’m happy. I did something to improve my life. And I’m smiling.
I laughed, I cuddled, I loved.
And I taught myself some lessons.
Today life is GREAT.
Tomorrow will be even better!

Ok… I LOVE my new lens, I LOVE my camera, I LOVE that I finally have figured out all the scary things on my camera, and I LOVE this photo, hehehe!!

So, Dad took me out for lunch today, and to the museum to see the DaVinci exhibit. We had a great time, thanks Dad. Anyways, afterwards we went out to my parents slowly being built farmhouse (Ill post pictures later). They have about 4 paddocks worth of land I believe, and the house is almost finished!!
This blog is actually about something very disturbing though, VERY DISTURBING.
Cows.
Yep, I said it, COWS. They have about 5 of them out there, just munching on grass all day long. I have to admit, some are cute. Others, a bit weird. And ONE is destined to be in my stomach, YUMMMMMMMY. I feel so manic and odd for saying that, but *drool* I love steak. SORRY COWS.
Hmmm which one will it be, decisions…. decisions….!!
