If you know me, you will know I spend a lot of time at home. Alone. This is GREAT after I’ve done a wedding or portrait sitting, because I get to work my butt off on the photos without anyone complaining (although I do get “the look” from Nico when he gets home and I’m STILL working on photos), but anyway, when I have finished all my work, and have a week of no work, I get BORED and LONELY.
Luckily I have someone on hand to drive over for coffee and milo! My cousin Jo and her 3 children (whom I blog about non stop!)

So thanks Jo for chasing the lonely blues away, and seriously… next time, Joseph is vacumming… 5 year olds can do labour right??
Anyway, the kids LOVE the exercise machine we have here (borrowed from our neighbours Sarah and Luke!!), and every time they come, they clamber all over it. Many an argument has been fought as to whose turn it is!!

See…. they love it. And never run out of energy!
And then there is Anya, who I have to say doesnt ever get much of a turn… not with two big brothers to push her around haha. But she can always find pleasure in her mummy’s purse…. she’s gonna be a big spender one day hehe!

Hahaha I love the distraction of having them all around!! Or should I say DESTRUCTION
Love you all:)
Just LOOK at these cuties!!

Hello All
Well, what a strange weekend Ive just had!
On Saturday Nico and I wanted to go and get some photo orders printed. I burned all the photos to a disc, cause I couldn’t find my USB in a hurry! Then off we headed to the shop…. the machine and the employees computer was saying there were no photos on the disc… WHAT THE! This place is on the other side of town from where we live, and we have a lot of travelling to do before next pay, so being tight with petrol, so I was pretty annoyed!! When we got home, I checked, they are DEFINETELY on the disc! GRRRRR. Luckily found the USB and got them printed in the afternoon, but seriously!
Oh oh oh, and I ORDERED A NEW LENS WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! My photos are gonna take a big leap towards stunning in a few weeks when it arrives! Im super excited. I ended up ordering a cheaper one, because I dont know if we will ever be able to save up enough for the one I wanted this year. But the one Ive ordered is super sexy anyway, so I wont complain!
Anyhoo, back to this weekend. Today we went up to Auckland, to visit my Liz and Nat, and help with their rennovations. Poor guys are expecting a baby in September, and trying to rennovate the whole house!! EEEEk!! Mostly we ended up moving furniture and bringing home boxes of stuff, so that the plasterer could get in on Monday. But its always great to see my sister, so we had a fun time, and stopped at Candyland on the way home… MUAHAHA, I sense your jealousy
OH AND ONE BIG BIG BIG thing… Saturday night… WHO WAS IT???? WHO LEFT the anonymous gift outside our door? I have my suspicians, but no name was left. So THANKYOU to who ever it was, and for whatever the reason you left us a gift, and a VERY useful one too. Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! Just one question, did you open our door so we would notice it on the doorstep, or did we leave it open lol! PS the magazine cut out names freaked me out till I opened the envelope LOL.
And last but ot least, Rachelle and Bevan, Im glad you loved the photos, have a GREATTTTTTT time on your honeymoon

So today was Anya’s christening, we had a great time, and she looked stunning. Jo (her mummy) had made a BEAUTIFUL dress and jacket for her to wear, and her little gold shoes finished off the outfit:

This is a photo Nico took of the christening. I couldnt do it myself since I was busy being a godparent haha, yay!

I love this one I took of Anyas dad, Stuart!! Looking lovely with purses!!

And this one of Campbell is just… wooooooo!!!

So Anya had a nice time running round the church, and at her party later. And Jo did a great job with the food etc etc!! All in all, a lovely day
Mua Mua Mua, love you Anya:) Heres a photo of you and me, finally you have one hahaha ^^^^^^

Oh Sunday is Anya’s christening. Anya is my cousin, and she is 1 & 1/2 years old. This is Anya:

My lovely sister and I will be the godmummys of this beautiful little girl, yay! What a pleasure! Sadly I probably won’t be able to take many photos haha, but I will see if Nico minds, cause it would be sad to not have any.
It is quite depressing when I think about how many photos I take, expecially of family and family events… and Im not in any of them. Its great that I can say I took all the photos, but, when I think of Anya and her older brothers growing up, and looking back at the photos Ive taken over the years, they would wish I was in a few of them. Same goes for their mum, Jo, my sister, my parents, and most importantly, my husband. They have very few photos of me.
Time to start sharing my camera around LOL.
I will make sure I get some photos of me and Anya on Sunday… !!!!
Love Jen
So I told you I would add more photos of both of these shoot once I was done, so as promised:
Liz and Nat:

and Andrew and Jess:

So, on the weekend I did a photoshoot for an absolutely cool couple, Andrew and Jess. Andrew was one of my husbands good friends in High School, and we’ve been keeping in touch recently through good ole facebook (gah I love facebook). Anyway, Andrew rocks, cause he has helped us out with few things, so I wanted to offer him and his girlfriend a free shoot to say thankyou
Jess is so wonderful, and she has one of the most beautiful smiles Ive ever seen. She is one of those rare people that just pulls you in. When she talks, she makes anything she is speaking about seem fascinating. I bet she could talk about moldy walnuts, and Id sit there entranced!
The photoshoot was just SO easy, because both Andrew and Jess were such naturals in front of the camera, I could have just gone home after the first photo I took. Oh and so in love they are, so beautiful to see.
Love you guys:)
Here’s a photo from the shoot, Ill put some more on once Ive finished:)

Actually, I only have yay’s this week
* Yay for doing three photoshoots on the weekend… and I was worried Id have no work over the winter season LOL. Ok technically only one was a paid job, but I love doing them regardless, its great doing shoots for friends and family!!
* Yay for feeling good about my work finally! Ive found my style, and Im loving it, and the photos are looking stunning
Now… I just need to find $650 to buy a new lens.. who wants to donate to the cause? Hehe.
* I get to do two graduation shoots in a few weeks, YAY, one of whom is my hubby
We’ll see, I might be able to wrangle a few more!
